About Córdoba
Córdoba is one of the cities with the richest heritage in Europe and has been a cultural landmark since Roman times. During the Middle Ages, it reached its peak as the capital of Al-Andalus, becoming one of the leading centers of knowledge in the world. Its exceptional historical legacy, shaped by the coexistence of Muslim, Jewish, and Christian cultures, has created a unique monumental ensemble recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
What to see during the visit
This guided tour explores some of Córdoba’s most emblematic monuments. The visit begins at the Mosque-Cathedral, famous for its forest of columns and spectacular Mihrab. It then continues through the Jewish Quarter, where you will discover the Synagogue, one of the best-preserved in Spain, and the Chapel of San Bartolomé, renowned for its Gothic-Mudéjar style. The tour also includes the ancient city walls and ends at the Alcázar of the Christian Monarchs, famous for its gardens, towers, and its role in the history of the Spanish monarchy.
“Architecture is the least corruptible witness of history.” — Octavio Paz
